Escubedo focuses on new productive equipment |
New electrical injection machines in Girona and improvement in the automation of plastic injection In order to continue with our policies of increasing productivity, and in the quest for greater quality assurance, all of Escubedo’s injection lines have been equipped with robotised systems. This improvement allows for precise control over the production of each line, as well as the optimisation of the manufacture of our injected products. As a new feature, we have added a new completely electrical 100 Tn injection machine to our stock of machines in the Girona plant. In this way, we are continuing to expand our productive capacity along with Arburg. |
Escubedo now has a new UPTP SEK3 2.8 mm terminal |
We are incorporating straight and flag 2.8 mm terminals to the UPTP SEK3 range A few months ago, we incorporated the 6.3 mm and 4.8 mm terminals to the UPTP SEK3 range, and now we can announce the incorporation of 2.8 mm terminals into that range. We already had self-locking terminals for the 6.3 mm and 4.8 mm ranges, but not for the 2.8 mm terminals. So with the incorporation of this kind of terminal, we are adding low insertion terminals with a self-locking mechanism to our 2.8 mm range. Furthermore, with the goal of broadly covering the entire range of this kind of connections, straight and flag female terminals will become available. In line with the entire UPTP SEK3 range, these new terminals will be able to be manually disconnected by depressing the self-locking latch, or through the protector or connector used in each case. |
Robotised cell to manufacture moulds |
The cell allows for a considerable increase in the manufacturing capacity and a reduction in delivery times After several months of working in conjunction with one of the leading companies in the industry, Escubedo has launched a totally robotised working cell to manufacture moulds for the injection of thermoplastics. Once the thermoplastic mould has been designed, the line allows work orders to be sent directly to the mechanisation machines. The functions of this line, which consists of an HSM machine and a penetration machine, are first to order and execute the jobs of manufacturing electrodes, and secondly to manufacture pieces in a totally automated fashion. This automated mould manufacturing process offers the following advantages: Investments like these reinforce Escubedo’s policy of making connectors for the automobile industry and specific designs for the household appliance market. |
