Increased demand in the household appliance market
With the arrival of COVID-19, everyone spends more time at home and a lot of people are teleworking, which has triggered demand in the household appliance sector. As one of the leading providers of connection systems and components for white goods, this increased demand has directly affected us.
During the months of September and October, we had 30% of orders for the household appliance market, specifically in the cooking line, and we are pleased to have been able to deal with it successfully.
This growth in the household appliance market has compensated for the decline in the automotive market, which we hope will soon take up 50% of our production again.
Looking ahead to 2021, the key word is "uncertainty”. At Escubedo we are already preparing and adapting to be as flexible and competitive as possible across the entire supply chain.
