A step further in the constant search for excellence with the UP-Quality system.

After the good results obtained with the application of the UP-Quality system in stamping, in Escubedo we decided to implement it now also for injection moulding.

The UP-Quality system is a computer tool developed with our own technology that allows us to check all the critical parameters to be verified in our parts throughout the production process.

This system, as well as allowing us to continue to improve our processes and have absolute traceability of the quality controls carried out on the parts, in order to respond to the most demanding requests, is also a very valuable tool internally due to its contribution to statistical analysis.

This analysis allows us to obtain data on both Cp (continuous process capability) and Cpk (non-continuous capability) in real time. The UP-Quality system acts as a process blocking and safety device; if the quality control is pending, the presses cannot be activated to continue the production process until it has been validated.

In the event of an anomaly, the system would request an internal non-conformity and a corrective action; a fact that would be notified  to the Quality Department, which has full knowledge of the management of the controls carried out during production. This is how any additional information, decisions and comments are recorded and identified in the system and can be consulted whenever necessary.

This way we can guarantee to the customer that the parts delivered meet all quality requirements; for example, to rule out that the origin of an error in the final equipment was caused by a non-conformity of an Escubedo product, it is possible to check the traceability of all controls carried out and analyse their capacity.

Thanks to the QlikView data viewer developed by Mercanza, we can transfer the data collected by the UP-Quality system, analyse the entire manufacturing process and tests, as well as the evolution of the controls carried out and anticipate possible problems that may arise, in a preventive manner.
